Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Maria Govea, MSW, LCSW, is the Social Worker at Shifa Dialysis LLC, where she provides dialysis education, support, and resources to patients. She completes monthly social work evaluations as well as care plans to determine the needs of each patient and monitor their social emotional needs and/or concerns. She enjoys getting to know her patients and takes great pride in being able to ensure that patients have the support and resources needed to manage their care and improve their quality of life.
Maria has been a social worker for 21 years and has specialized in dialysis social work for over 9 years. She is always willing to work together with the dialysis team to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to patients.
